A tracking shot, A.K.A a dolly shot, is used to record a shot whilst it moves. The camera is mounted on a dolly which is placed on rails so that the camera can move and track alongside the subject being recorded. This can be used to film a vehicle moving, or a person running e.c.t. This is mainly used in cinematography to capture movie scenes such as when tom cruise is running at high speeds in his mission impossible movies or when daredevil is fighting baddies is a hallway, its really used a lot in movies.

A panning shot is when a slow shutter speed is used along with camera motion (moving the camera) in order to achieve clear focus on a moving object whilst blurring the background. Panning is mostly done horizontally such as a moving car or a bird but it can be done vertically like someone jumping up and down.
I think this is a excellent way to ascertain pictures as it creates a sense of movement and not only that it generally looks amazing. this is used to capture photos of moving objects hence why the camera has to move which adds to the difficulty of the shot. |
Dramatic viewpoints refers to the positioning of the camera in a certain way in order to take a picture from a point which is abnormal in relation to how we see things in real life, the analogy i feel there is that when we position the camera in a manner which we all are used to then we get a rather dull and monotonous image however once we shift it to something which we arent used to then the image develops a sense of acuity which captivates the minds of those who view it. Of course with a heightened interest towards the image, the image gets personified as it now magically starts to convey different thoughts and feelings. So to conclude, Depening on how you position your camera you can create a mood for your photo.
