A series of images demonstrating the effects refraction of colour light through water. Coloured filters were placed in water and white light from a torch was passed through. the results can be seen in the coloured light on the surface beyond the glass. Another thing that we had done was, we had left the coloured filters in the water and we had left the light so it shone through however this time we have used a star to blow bubbles through the water to see the results as you can see the effect was amazing as the bubbles created something truly wonderful.
Studio set-up
Studio pictures
Are we going into a haunted house or a party?
Trying my best to do a Han solo pose. hmm didn't work out so well
This is our experiments with the studio set up. as you can see we have taken pictures both portrait and landscape. We had however tried to make the picture to seem more darker in the third picture to create a more eerie image hence why we are making scared faces but it didn't turn out so well as firstly I learnt I cant make a scared face and secondly the lighting didnt work and the picture came out in normal brightness instead of a darker one.
Creating shadows
With this experiment, there was a sort of cut out that was placed somewhere in front of the light source which obstructed some of the light ways whilst letting some through. This created a shadow. we then placed some coloured gels in front of the light rays that were still coming through to colour the light rays in order to produce the pictures above. (The light source got pretty hot this was due to thermal energy being produced as a waste product from the overall amount of joules being put into the device. some was also used to produce light).
Coloured Gels and light. What could go wrong?
I AM IRON MAN (get it? the colours are.. nevermind)
This experiment required a light source and coloured gels. what we did was we placed the gels in-front of the light source in order to colour the light that was then shown on the desk. we then started experimenting with how we placed the gels and in what position to play with the colours. my favourite is the 2nd and the 3rd one because the colours reflected on the desk remind me of iron man, because he's the best and also I like how they blend with each other as shown in the 3rd picture.

Contact sheet
These are contacts sheets showing all the pictures me and my group have taken during the light experiment lesson. I have labelled each photo according to the key at the bottom of the contact sheet.
